Sinan İŞLEKDEMİR, author, coder
Hello, I’m Sinan.
I haven’t had much time lately to update this site properly. Life has a way of doing that. I do keep a blog, though—mostly as a place to think by writing, to clear my head. I write a lot, but most of it never makes it online. It stays in notebooks, on loose pages, half-forgotten. Occasionally, when time and mood align, I post some of it on the blog. Just as often, I don’t. Maybe one day I’ll ask someone else to take care of that part for me. Who knows.
My first book, Bir Bar Hikayesi (A Bar Story), was published in 2022. It’s built from fragments of the worst year of my life—hopes, needs, and the compassion I was searching for at the time. It’s a kind of inward journey. If you’re the sort of reader who pays attention to pauses, to what’s left unsaid between paragraphs, you may find a few aphorisms hiding there. If you prefer to read straight through, I hope it still keeps you company for a few good hours.
My latest book, The Bear: Tales of Purgatory, #2, has been out since August 2025. It continues the world begun in The Architect and moves through familiar underground rooms, characters, and rhythms—the bar on a Saturday night, the friends you lean into and lean on, and those moments where life feels both too loud and too thin all at once.
By day, I’ve been working in software for about twenty years. By night—or whenever I can—I write. I currently live in Finland with my wife and our amazing, incredibly sharp nine-year-old daughter. Somewhere between work, writing, and family life, the days keep passing. Life rolls on.
